Refreshing Super Bowl Guacamole Recipe

If you managed to convince your friends to come over for a last minute party and you haven’t got the food lined up try this refreshing, foolproof super bowl guacamole recipe.  Serves 6-8 hungry men as a snack accompanied by Super Bowl chili or bad fried ass rice.

Prep time:  10 minutes; ready to eat in 1 hour

Ingredients:

  • 4 large ripe avocados
  • 3-4 shallots or scallions
  • 1 large clove garlic
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Shell the avocados and mash
  2. Chop shallots finely and add
  3. Chop garlic as finely as you can and add
  4. Add juice of one lime (or to taste)
  5. Add two of the avocado pits and let settle in refrigerator for 1 hour; (The avocado pits prevent the guacamole from oxidizing (turning brown).
  6. Serve in a large super bowl for your Super Bowl party

Optional:

  • Add finely diced tomatoes (no seeds, no juice)
  • Mix in a sprig of cilantro
  • Add teaspoon of crushed peppers and chili powder
  • Top with sprig of cilantro
  • Serve with ice cold Corona beers (with lime wedges in the bottle’s neck)
