List of Super Bowl Halftime Shows

In getting into a heated argument with other friends that know as much about football as I do, I decided to put them up for the challenge.  Over a couple of bottles of wine we agreed that we were Super Bowl experts when it came to the half time shows.  We all remembered that the Rolling Stones and The Who had played (odd acts for this event nonetheless) and that the Janet Jackson had really been the first to be coined with the now ethereal wardrobe function term, but couldn’t for the life of us figure out who Nelly was (we are rocker type dudes).  No wonder advertising spots are so expensive, see the list of Super Bowl advertising costs for the past 20 years here.

Disclaimer:  We got most of the acts on this list from Wikipedia; I am convinced that the list is inaccurate because I am sure the Eagles played.
